Elusive Caches and Finished Projects

Today started out okay, but by the end of it, I felt like I had a little rain cloud over my head. It wasn’t a bad one, but it did make me want to go home and be lazy for the evening.

We skipped the gym in favor of a walk around Annenberg Park. There are several caches there, and we were hoping to find a couple. Luck wasn’t with us though. There was one we couldn’t find and another that seemed to be down a hill (though after reviewing the logs later, I think the coords may have been off).

There were others on the park, but there were also a lot of people out there, so we added Anneberg to our list of future early morning finds. We did find one before leaving the park, and we detoured a tad on the way home to pick up a park and grab.

Caching aside, I definitely want to go back and walk the full trail around the park. That place is really nice and it’s been several years since we made that loop.

Though the gym had originally been on our agenda, neither Jon nor I were feeling it. I always get a little gym burnout around this time of year. I justify this by figuring that I’m limited in the time I have left to walk outdoors, which is part of the reason I haven’t given up our memberships.

After the walk, we came home and had tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner, and I finished my knitting project. I’ll be able to post pics in a couple days.

Not a hugely eventful day, but our walk served as a mini adventure. Speaking of walking adventures, I saw today that Six to Start is getting ready to release a walking app game. I love the Zombies, Run app, as I’ve stated about 50 times, so I’m looking forward to the new one. I’m also thinking of getting the zombies 5k app, but I’m working up to the training commitment for that one.

I’m ready to crash out. High fives to everyone who plodded through Monday with me!

A.
